As a professional makeup and skincare hoarder, I will say that a makeup junkie’s collection is never complete. I’ve rounded up a list of products that I am dying to try from makeup to skincare and fragrances. Consider this a condensed version of a beauty wish list.
Skincare
Fresh – Black Tea Kombucha Antioxidant Essence
Fresh Beauty has become one of my favorite skincare brands because all the products perform like a dream. I’ve never tried an essence, but it smooths the skin, targets fine lines and wrinkles. It also contains Kombucha which increases luminosity and protects the skin against pollution.
Dr. Barbara Strum – Hydrating Face Mist
If you haven’t heard of Dr. Barbara Strum, don’t feel alone. I had no idea about this skincare line until a few weeks ago. Anything with Dr. on the bottle has got me hooked. Doctor just screams trust, it has to be good if a doctor made it right?
There are a lot of different products Dr. Strum has to offer, but I love facial sprays. The face mist also has hyaluronic acid which releases intense hydration. If you caught my Neutrogena Hydro Boost Review you know why I am such a huge fan of hyaluronic acid!
Sunday Riley – Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment
Sunday Riley is another brand that I have not had the pleasure of trying mainly because of the cost. Good Genes retails for $158.00 which is pretty hefty for one product. Treating the skin has become more important to me as I get older because, it can cause you to have fewer skin issues in the future, and possibly slow down the aging process.
Makeup
Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation
Is it wrong to buy something just because of the packaging? I think I can make an exception just this once. I am always more excited to purchase foundations because of its shade range. This particular foundation has 40 shades so that everyone can find a shade that best matches their skin tone. It has a matte finish and medium coverage, perfect for everyday wear. Makeup artists use this foundation on runway models, who wouldn’t want flawless runway model skin? You can also use this on your body to hide any imperfections on your neck, shoulders, or legs.
Pat McGrath Labs – Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Foundation
Another foundation I have been eyeing is the Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Foundation by Pat McGrath. The entire collection from the foundation to the primer would be lovely, but a girl can only dream. Again, the foundation shade range is very important to me, and this one does not disappoint.
Natasha Denona Sunset Eyeshadow Palette
When Natasha dropped this palette, just about every beauty guru reviewed it and I’ve wanted to get my hands on it ever since. Now let’s discuss this price point of $129.00. Good Lord. As a result of this impulse purchase, I will not be able to feed my makeup addiction for quite some time. If anyone would like to start a Go Fund Me on my behalf that would be great.
The shades are so warm making the perfect Fall palette. It has 18 shades which can seem overwhelming, but each shade goes so well with the other. You can create so many different eye shadow looks both matte and shimmery.
Fragrance
Maison Margiela – ‘Replica’ By The Fireplace
Now that Fall has officially begun, it’s time to break out the fall scented candles and fragrances. Replica By The Fireplace smells exactly like marshmallows roasting by a campfire. I don’t know what it is about fall, but food scented fragrances speak to my heart.
Jo Malone London – Red Roses Cologne
I’ve always wanted a Jo Malone London fragrance to add to my collection. The packaging is so simple and clean, and the Red Roses Cologne is very fresh. I also loved this when I sampled it because it smelled great in the bottle, but also worked well with my body chemistry. It smelled the same on my skin as it did in Sephora. Sì Eau de Parfum by Giorgio Armani is also on my beauty wish list for much of the same reasons.
We’ve all had a time or two where a fragrance smelled great on a friend, but when you went to try it for yourself it was completely different. Purchasing perfume is much like buying a new foundation, it’s always good to try before you buy, but you can never be too sure.
What’s on your beauty wish list? Do we have similar products or are we on completely different wavelengths? I would love to hear what you’ve been swooning over.
