If there is one skincare product I am always on the lookout for, it’s the best cleanser. I always invest in cleansers because having clean skin is what’s going to help the rest of the products in your routine do their magic. If you are looking to create a routine, this is a great place to start being that it is the most important step. These are some of the cleansers that I am loving right now. Below you will find a number of cleansers that I grab based on my skin’s condition.

Acure Brightening Facial Scrub
This is one of my favorite exfoliators! It’s a brightening facial scrub that is formulated with sea kelp and French green clay that’s suitable for all skin types. If you are experiencing any dullness or dryness this a great product to use. After my first use, I noticed how much brighter and smoother my skin was. I have larger pores on my cheeks that get congested and this scrub cleared that right up. Be gentle with this product, it is a physical exfoliant and contains walnut shell flower which removes dead skin cells and softens skin. If you are not a fan of facial scrubs, I would try out the Brightening Cleansing Gel.
Key Ingredients:
- French Green Clay – draws out impurities
- Chlorella – supports skin’s building blocks and rejuvenates
- Lemon Peel – gently removes dead skin cells and brightens
- Sage – clarifies skin
- Blackberry – infuses antioxidants
Youth to The People Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser
This cleanser can be used daily to remove makeup and prevent build-up in pores, while keeping skin’s pH balanced. This is perfect for all skin types and targets oiliness, fine lines and wrinkles, dullness and uneven texture.
This is such a dream to use, it smells absolutely amazing and comes in recyclable packaging. I have oily skin, so I love using this every day. My skin doesn’t dry out, the cleanser is gentle, but very effective.

Versed Wash it Out Gel Cleanser
As you can see, I love gel cleansers. Here is another great cleanser that gently cleans your skin and washes away dirt and impurities without stripping your skin. It has a refreshing minty scent that can be used in both the am and pm skincare routine. I also love how much product comes in the bottle, it is 6.4 fl oz and you only need a dime-size amount for your entire face. The price point is also noteworthy at $12.99, I just started using Versed and so far, I am loving their products.
Key Ingredients:
- Rosewater – nourishes the skin
- Mint – refreshes skin
Farmacy Clean Bee
The Clean Bee is new to my collection, but it has quickly become one of my favorites. It is another gel cleanser that removes dirt, excess oil, and makeup. It’s great for all skin types and targets dullness and uneven texture. The formula is hydrated and is infused with honey and hyaluronic acid.
The honey scent is quite strong, and it took using this product a few times to get used to the smell. I actually enjoy the scent, but if you are someone who doesn’t like the fragrance or the honey for that matter, I would try a sample. Every time I use this, I get the gentle cleanse without my skin feeling tight or drying out.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser
The Milky Jelly Cleanser is a gel cleanser with a thick and creamy consistency. This very gentle and great at removing dirt and refreshing the skin. It contains poloxamer which is a mild but strong agent found in contact lens solution. This means that the cleanser is safe around the eyes. Some other key ingredients are comfrey root extract which heals dry skin and aquaxyl that prevents hydration.
Does anyone else find themselves researching ingredients and discovering the benefits they have for your skin? I am very intrigued by the science behind skincare.
Fresh Soy Cleanser
I am a huge fan or Fresh Beauty. I enjoy this product because it leaves my skin smooth and supple. Often times after using this cleanser I like to follow it up with the Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash. They are both so gentle and help with oiliness and my skin’s texture.
The Soy Cleanser is a three-in-one wash that melts away makeup, removes impurities, and tones for balanced skin. It’s great for all skin tones and it targets dryness, dullness, uneven texture, and loss of firmness and elasticity.
Key Ingridents:
- Amino acid-rich soy proteins – maintain elasticity
- Cumber extract – soothes skin
- Rosewater – calming and balancing
- Borage seed oil – nourish and soften
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleansing Gel
This might be my favorite drug store cleanser. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel boosts hydration for soft, supple skin. This is a lightweight gel cleanser that lightly lathers and works to remove makeup and impurities. It is formulated with hyaluronic acid, which increases the skin’s hydration level and locks in moisture, leaving the skin refreshed and clean. There is a mild fragrance, which I don’t mind. You can read my full Hydro Boost review here. The first ingredient listed is water which means it is the most highly concentrated.
Kylie Skin Foaming Face Wash
Finally, a foaming face wash! This is infused with kiwi seed oil that helps to hydrate and brighten the skin. It is also packed with Vitamin C and E to help maintain moisture and improve elasticity. I love how gentle the formula is and how it effectively removes dirt, oil, and makeup. This cleanser lathers and foams, leaving my skin hydrated and soft. I haven’t tried every product from Kylie Skin, but I am loving this and the moisturizer as well. These are great basic staples to have in your skincare routine.
Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser
This is a simple face wash for normal, Dry, Combination, and Oily skin types. It targets Pores, Dryness, and Dullness, and Uneven Texture. I love this cleanser because it melts away dirt and excess oil. It is very gentle and hydrates, this is a great everyday cleanser.
Key Ingredients:
- Meadowfoam seed oil – lightly hydrates
- Essential oil blend including rosewood, sandalwood, sage – soften, soothe, and rejuvenate the skin
Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cloud Cream Cleanser
The water drench cleanser is a cream cleanser that gently removes makeup, excess oil and impurities. It is fragrance-free and the hyaluronic acid helps retain moisture while the marshmallow root extract helps soften and soothe the skin. Coconut oil is another key ingredient that moisturizes and rids the skin of dirt and oil.
This cleanser is all about cleansing and hydrating the skin without stripping the skin of its moisture. I love this because my skin is always so soft after using it, and it perfectly preps my skin for makeup. It’s so creamy and rinses off easily with water.
What cleansers are you gravitating towards and why? Do you use different cleansers based on what your skin needs at the time, or do you stick with the same products? Let me know in the comments!
