My skin care collection is more than one would ever need, but I just can’t seem to help myself. Since I fall into this trap time and time again, I sometimes forget what amazing products I already have. I forget how well they work with my skin and how much I actually love them.
Choosing Skin Care Products
Skin care can be tricky because you never know what could irritate your skin. So when you find products that you love, work well with your skin, and don’t hurt your pockets it’s a win. Today I am sharing 5 skin care products that I have fallen back in love with this Summer. These products have been in my collection for years, and I share a few that I recently added into my arsenal. I love to shake up my routine and switch out a few products here and there, these five have never let me down!
Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Dream Night Cream
I love Fresh products as it is, their Rose Deep Hydration Cream is my all time favorite face cream. I never thought I would put it down, but I guess you can never say never. This night cream is becoming a new favorite of mine. It’s super hydrating, has a subtle scent, and is thick in consistency which makes for the perfect night cream. A little goes a long way with this product, especially if you have oily skin. There isn’t anything that I don’t love about it. The formula and texture is silky smooth, and instantly gives my skin a glowing, more youthful appearance. Super lotus gives the product its power along with peach leaf extract that work together to provide the skin with deep hydration.
Boscia Luminizing Black Charcoal Mask
I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love face masks! Boscia changed the game with this charcoal mask, I remember every time I went to Sephora to purchase it, it was SOLD OUT! Finally, I got my hands on it and I have repurchased it at least four times. It is a peeling mask so it has to be applied in a thick layer in order for it to really work its magic. I use it once a week to get all the yucky dirt out of my pores. This is my favorite mask, it gives my skin a glow that I just cannot ignore, and it snatches the oil right up! I love using this mask before applying any makeup as well.
Mario Badescu Rose Hip Nourishing Oil
Honestly, I did not know much about facial oils and I am still learning. I never thought to apply a face oil because my skin is so oily, but they have so many benefits like brightening and smoothing dry patches. I use Mario Badescu products all the time, so I thought I’d try the Rose Nip Nourishing Oil. Plus it’s rose scented which is my current obsession. My t-zone gets pretty oily, but the perimeter of my face tends to be dry. I use about three drops of this and rub it in my hands before applying it to my dry areas and neck. Then I top it off with the rosewater spray for some extra hydration.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost City Shield
This is my favorite moisturizer for Summer because it’s so lightweight and hydrating. I am not particularly fond of heavy moisturizers with all this hot weather and Hydro Boost is a perfect base under foundation. It feels like I am drenching my skin with water. The original Hydro Boost Water Gel was excellent, but then Neutrogena released it with SPF! This version of Hydro Boost Water Gel has all its great properties, but now it helps your skin fight against environmental stressors like humidity, pollution, and the sun. I always look for sun screen in a moisturizer because it gives my skin hydration and protection all at once.
Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover
Literally removes errrythang! You honestly do NOT need a lot of this product, and it is perfect for anyone who is as lazy as me and hates taking off their makeup after a long day/night. This Balm is the bomb (so corny, I know). I gently massage it into my skin and then wash my face with my favorite cleanser and call it a night.
