Fragrances really bring out emotions and memories. There are certain scents that I love solely because of the memories. Then there are others that I cannot stand because the scent brings up not so pleasant memories. Perfume is somewhat of a time machine, they can transport you to place like the beach or a bonfire. I’ve built a fragrance collection that I can truly say I’m in love with.
It takes time to build a fragrance collection that you truly love because you want these to be timeless scents. I’ve collected 10 fragrances over the years that I will wear for the rest of my life.

How to Build A Fragrance Collection
Before we get into these amazing scents, I wanted to mention the fragrance wheel guide that I found.
This guide breaks down the different types of fragrances and which families they belong to.
What is a the fragrance wheel?
This was developed by fragrance expert Michael Edwards to help retailers suggest the right fragrances to consumers. It describes the different scent families and subfamilies. They are grouped based on the differences and similarities that they share with one another. Check out the fragrance wheel guide for more details. I hope this can help you build your fragrance collection.
Types of Scent Families:
- Floral Notes
- Oriental Notes
- Woody Notes
- Fresh Notes
Marc Jacobs Daisy – 3.4 oz $106
This scent is so beautiful it has become my signature scent and I will wear this for years to come. The bottle is stunning and has the cutest daisies on the top. Marc Jacobs always kills it with fragrances. This one, in particular, is very girly and perfect for the summer but can be worn all throughout the year. It has a very soft scent that lingers on the skin all day. Daisy is one of those fragrances that is easily recognizable.
The base notes are the scents that are revealed last, and in this one, it happens to be sandalwood. Sandalwood is one of my favorites, so I am not surprised that I enjoy this fragrance so much.

Last, but definitely not least is North Bondi by Ouai. The packaging is so chic on these bottles, they even come in a circle-shaped box, and the top of the fragrance is magnetic.
