If there is anything that I hoard its foundation. I am guilty of carrying more than one foundation in my makeup bag. There’s something about an even complexion that just touches my soul. Just when I think I’ve found my favorite foundation another one drops. I’ve formed a terrible habit, and I forget how much I once loved a foundation.
Clinique Even Better Foundation
Last month I fell back in love with the Clinique Even Better Foundation Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in the shade Clove. This was one of the very first foundations I ever tried, it has a natural finish with medium coverage. It also has SPF which is great to have in your foundation because it adds an extra layer of protection.
The shade range of this foundation is so large and it is pretty inexpensive for a foundation if you ask me. When the weather changes I bounce between Clove in the colder months and Mahogany in the warmer months.
Fenty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder
Setting powder is another item that I tend to collect, but my newest love is the Fenty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder in the shade Nutmeg to brighten my undereye. It sets my concealer giving me a soft matte look. This powder is so lightweight and fine which had me a little skeptical because my skin is very oily, but I was wrong. I use a small amount and it helps keep my makeup in place throughout the day. I plan on purchasing the shade Coffee to set my entire face.
MAC Oh, Darling
Does anyone remember MAC Oh, Darling? This was such a hot item a few years ago, and I remember not being able to get my hands on it for so long. First of all, MAC has the most amazing highlighters, Gold Deposit is still my go-to shade for any look. Oh, Darling is a close contender to Gold Deposit, on my skin, it is subtle and great for day time glam.
KKW Beauty
This month I also purchased the cream contour sticks from KKW Beauty. I loved the powder contour and highlight kit so much that I thought I would give the cream version a try. Purchasing makeup that I’ve never tried online is a bit daunting so I am glad KKW Beauty launched in Ulta. The contour and highlight sticks are easy to use and blend, I used the highlight shade on top of my concealer in the inner corner of my eye closets to my nose to further brighten that area.
I’ve really been obsessing over nude lipsticks lately, and so I picked up the KKW Beauty Nude Creme Lipsticks in the shade 7 and 8. The lipsticks are so creamy, longlasting and comfortable. Nude lipstick is a must in my makeup bag no matter what look you’re going for. Lastly, I purchased the lip liner in Nude 3 which is also creamy, highly pigmented, and blends into lipstick seamlessly.
Did you try any new items last month or did you stick to your usual? What products are you more likely to switch out each month? Foundation, lipstick, blush or lip liner?
