The year is coming to a close and today I am rounding up the best skincare of 2020. These are products that I was introduced to this year and I haven’t been able to put them down since. My list includes everything from serum, moisturizer, and retinol.

Naturium Skin – BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2%
I know this brand had a rocky launch, but I decided to give them the benefit out of the doubt and try some products. This is a leave-on liquid exfoliant that is formulated with encapsulated salicylic acid. This helps unclog pores, even skin tone, smooth fine lines, and wrinkles. There are a lot of products like this on the market, but this one leaves my skin glowing every time. It’s very gentle and is safe to use every day, but always follow up with sunscreen!
Shani Darden Skin Care – Retinol Reform
This is my first time adding retinol into my skincare routine and I was a bit nervous. Luckily this was super gentle on my skin. This formula has 2.2% encapsulated retinol which makes it a gentle and effective formula. It is on the pricey side, but it’s a great option for first-time retinol users.
It helps boost collagen production and improve cell turnover. This product has many anti-aging benefits like reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, dullness, blemishes, and acne scars.
Shani Darden Skin Care – Weightless Oil-Free Moisturizer
If you have oily skin you need this moisturizer! This is an oil-free, fast-absorbing moisturizer that gives my skin weightless hydration without the shine. I also love using this with sunscreen, it works so well with other products without clogging pores.
Sand & Sky – Tasmanian Spring Water Splash Serum
Hyaluronic Acid serums have been all over the place this year. I’ve tried a few great serums including ones from The Ordinary and Versed. With that being said, I was excited to try the Sand & Sky Tasmanian Spring Water Splash Serum. This is perfect for you if you have dull, dry, or uneven skin. The texture of this serum is very lightweight, it almost feels like splashing water on the skin.
Farmacy Beauty – Daily Greens Gel Moisturizer
Another great moisturizer for oily skin is the Farmacy Daily Greens Gel Moisturizer. My oily skin loves this moisturizer because it delivers lasting hydration without leaving my skin feeling greasy. The formula contains hyaluronic acid and helps clear pores and reduce shine.
Byroe – Tomato Serum
This contains gently exfoliating tomato extract, vitamin C, and peptides that combat signs of aging like dullness, fine lines, wrinkles, and dehydrated skin. Every time I use this my complexion is visibly smoother and brighter. I use it sparingly because of the price tag. If you have the chance to splurge on a product this is a great one to try!
Youth To The People – Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial
Youth To The People is one of my favorite brands. Every product I’ve tried has blown me away, but this one is by far my favorite. It’s an instant microdermabrasion facial that breaks down dead skin cells with active enzymes, papaya, and pineapple. Be careful when using this product because it can be a bit harsh on the skin. I found that using this in the shower and gently massaging it into the skin works very well.
Habit Skin – No 41 SPF Mister
Wearing an SPF is a must! This product makes it easy to reapply SPF during the day. It’s a fine mist that has notes of rose geranium, lavender, and rosemary. I carry this in my bag at all times for quick and easy application. You can use my code BNICHOLEEE_4HABIT to save at checkout!
Versed – Day Maker Microcrystal Exfoliator
If you’re looking for an affordable exfoliator that works wonders, this is the one for you. This works to refine pores and buff away dead skin cells. It’s formulated with super fine microcrystalline and a biodegradable alternative to microbeads. The formula contains a blend of black currant and raspberry leaf extract, which help keep oil production and inflammation under control.
Glow Recipe – Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask
I am not sure about you, but my under eye area is usually puffy in the morning. I feel like I’ve tried every eye cream to help with this. The Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask is so great for this. It’s an eye sleeping mask formulated with avocado, encapsulated retinol, and niacinamide. These powerful ingredients work together to help moisturize, brighten, de-puff and fight signs of aging.
That wraps up my list of the best skincare of 2020! I hope you enjoyed this post and hopefully you discovered some new products you’d like to try. I would love to know what skincare products have you enjoyed this year.
