These are my favorite tv series to watch from start to finish in no particular order. I know we don’t all have the same taste, so I added medical dramas, crime, comedy, and drama.
The Golden Girls ( 1985 – 1992)
This is one of my all-time favorite shows, it’s a classic. I know for a fact that I’ve seen every episode and I could binge watch this TV series over and over again. My mom introduced me to this show and it’s absolutely hilarious! Also, Betty White is the star of the show in my opinion. She’s a national treasure and we must protect her at all costs. The show follows four mature women who live in Miami, Florida experiencing what it is to be in your golden years. This is pure entertainment that will make you laugh!
Where to Watch: Hulu
Grey’s Anatomy (2005 -)
I am sure you’ve heard of Grey’s Anatomy, if you haven’t that is okay too. Grey’s didn’t come into my life until 2014, and I watched the entire series in just a couple of months. This show follows Meredith Grey on her journey to becoming a surgeon. This is a medical drama that has always touched on the current issue we face in healthcare. Shonda Rhimes is a true genius and all over the shows, she creates are guaranteed to touch your emotions and leave you speechless.
Where to Watch: Hulu/Netflix
Sex in The City (1998 – 2004)
Sex in The City went off the air in 2004, but it will forever be iconic. The characters are so different and they have the most beautiful friendship. The show follow Carrie Bradshaw, a sex columnist, and her three friends — Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. They live in Manhattan and navigate through the dating scene. Carrie Bradshaw and “Big” might have one of the most iconic relationships in television history.

E.R. (1994 – 2009)
If you already love Grey’s Anatomy, you will love E.R. Don’t hate me, but E.R. might be a better series to watch than Grey’s Anatomy. This show is a medical drama based in Chicago. It follows the lives of surgical interns, residents, and attending surgeons. Also, George Clooney and John Stamos appear in this show, so there’s definitely some eye candy for you. Don’t worry it has a total of 15 seasons.
Where to watch: Hulu
Sons of Anarchy (2008 – 2014)
Sons of Anarchy is about a single father named Jax Teller. He is in an outlaw motorcycle club who he has been loyal to all his life. His loyalty is tested when he begins to uncover just how far some members have gone. The club is supposed to protect the town of Charming, Calif. by keeping drug dealers and crime away, it has an agenda of its own. Their activities include a profitable illegal arms business. The motorcycle club also has beef with rival clubs in the surrounding areas.
Where to watch: Netflix
Grace & Frankie (2015 -)
This show follows two elderly women who’s husbands are secretly lovers. The two women are completely different, but end up moving in together and becoming best friends. The show happens to be the longest running series on Netflix and starts Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Martin Sheen, and Sam Waterston.
Where to watch: Netflix
How to Get Away With Murder ( 2014 – 2020)
Annalise Keating is played by the Viola Davis. She is a brilliant criminal defense attorney and a law professor of defense law at Middleton University. HTGAWM follows Annalise and a group of selected students through their lives of murder and mystery.
Where to watch: Netflix
Charmed (1998 – 2006)
If you are into supernatural shows Charmed is a good one to watch. Charmed is about three sisters who discover that they are powerful witches. They use their powers to fight evil and protect innocents all while seeming normal to their friends and significant others.
Where to watch: Netflix
The Blacklist (2013 -)
Raymond Reddington might be the most toxic tv series character right now. He is one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives but has agreed to work with the FBI by providing his “blacklist” of criminals. This show is really great and has so many surprises, so you won’t ever get bored of it.
Where to watch: Netflix/NBC
This Is Us (2016 -)
If you want to cry your eyes out, this is the show for you. This Is Us follows three siblings, Kate, Randall, and Kevin. This is one of my favorite shows because it shows the past, present, and future of each character’s life. The plot of this show is truly amazing. My favorite part is how the producers are able to bring such beautiful moments full circle.
Where to watch: NBC
This list is very small compared to the amount of tv I actually watch. I wanted to narrow it down to just a few noteworthy tv series to binge-watch in your free time. If you are anything like me, you love long series. You can’t watch a show with only three seasons, it just won’t cut it. What TV series have you watched from start to finish? What tv series are you currently watching?
xx,
Brianna
